We have been seeing patients for dental treatment in office since early June. Some patients, like yourself may be nervous to visit the dentist during a pandemic, we understand and hope that you will be comforted by the many safety measures and protocols that we have in place for your health and safety. We are happy to share that many that have arrived nervous or anxious about a visit to the dentist during these times and have reported they were at ease once they arrived and were privy to our safety measures.

We know many of you have been forced to wait for dental care. We are now open and scheduling dental appointments. We appreciate your understanding while we were closed to do our part to control the spread of the virus.

While our number one priority is the health and safety of you, our patients, we have many procedures in place and we will need your assistance to ensure we are all kept safe and healthy.

We are excited to share that the Ministry of Health and Royal College of Dental Surgeons have advised Ontario Dentists that deferred and non- essential dental treatment can resume! This is great news! Maple Mews Dental will resume all deferred, non- essential and elective dental treatment in addition to urgent and emergency care as of MONDAY JUNE 8, 2020.

Dental Care in Canada has been on hold, and as other provinces open to provide dental care, we know we too will be seeing you again soon! As mentioned in our last newsletter, we are very hopeful that we will be seeing patients in June!

As we all know, COVID-19 has changed the world! Even the little every day things we do are different, and as we have been sharing, dentistry too will be different when dental offices reopen. A return to work date has not yet been advised for dental practices, although we at Maple Mews Dental are optimistic that it will be in June. We thank you for your continued calls, and yes while other provinces have opened dental practices, we await direction to do so here in Ontario.

We have been working diligently during this time that the office has been closed to non-essential dental treatment to make changes to protect YOU, our valued patients and our team members.

As the seasons change, spring is definitely here… sun is shining beautifully,the days are a bit warmer and definately longer,flowers are growing and the grass is green! With every season comes change and for the world of dentistry changes are constant, but certainly, as with all businesses, we have never been in a season like the present.

Young children cannot take care of their smile on their own, its up to you, mom and dad to brush and floss for them! We know this can be a challenge .. another battle in the day! Try these hints:
